A Canadian online pharmacy has been found to have seized Viagra tablets from an Indian doctor for the sale of illegal drugs, the latest in a series of raids in the UK.
The investigation, led by the Pharmacy World Group, has identified a total of 10,000 drugs being sold at a total of more than 3,500 stores in the city of London.
A total of about 1,100 drugs were seized including Viagra tablets, Cialis tablets and Viagra, among others.
A spokeswoman for the Pharmacy World Group said the pharmacy was based in St Helier, Surrey.
The drugs were seized as part of a “bulk purchase” that took place on Friday, October 20, 2018.
The pharmacist said they had purchased about 1,000 Viagra tablets from a Chinese doctor, but had not received any official notification from the company.
A spokeswoman for the Pharmacy World Group said they had received a complaint about the sale of illegal drugs and had identified the doctor and pharmacist as the two men involved in the case.
The spokesperson added: “The customer has identified a doctor in a previous case and they have acted as the two men involved in the investigation.”
